Our 6-step Oriental Rug Cleaning Process

Step 1 – Inspection

The first step is getting to know your rug. We’ll perform a thorough inspection and find any stains, damage, or areas that need attention. Once we have a complete understanding of what needs to be done, we’ll discuss the plan of action with you. If you agree, we’ll take your rug in and get started.

Step 2 – Dirt Removal

Dusting and dirt removal are some of the most important parts of cleaning! We’ll remove all dust, dirt, debris, dander, and whatever else an ordinary vacuum misses. This prevents staining during the rest of the cleaning process, as dirt can quickly turn into mud and cause a whole new issue.

Besides, even thorough vacuuming at home can’t pick up everything. Some debris works its way deep into the rug, and we have the necessary equipment to remove it!

Step 3 – Cleaning

Based on what we find during the inspection, we choose the perfect combination of cleaning products and equipment for your rug. We’re careful with this step, both to restore your rug to its former glory and avoid causing damage in any way. We have years of experience in choosing the right products, and we know just what will give your rug the thorough cleaning it deserves!

Step 4 – Rinse and Dry

Once we’re finished with shampooing or whatever products we chose for your rug, we’ll rinse it clean and place it in our specialized drying area. Oriental rugs can’t just be tossed into a dryer or laid out at random, so we have a safe method to get rid of excess water and dry even the most delicate rugs and material.

Step 5 – Stain Removal and Fringe Work

If there are any remaining stains after the drying process, we tackle them individually. Some require special care beyond the normal cleaning process, and we provide it during this step.

Additionally, we’ll provide extra attention to the fringe (if needed). Fringe cleaning can be delicate work. We’ll remove any stains or uneven coloration and take care to separate and dry the fringe properly. It adds so much to the look of your rug and deserves the same level of care as the main material! Step 6 – Microfiber Mop

Last, but not least, we take a microfiber mop and solution over your rug. This allows us to test for any remaining stains and determine if your rug needs further attention. We’ll redo the whole cleaning process if necessary, and we’re committed to returning your rug in pristine condition!
